Digital Video Cameras
Digital Video Camcorders are now commonplace among the consumer market. Shooting your home videos in digital is much easier than just doing it on VHS...if you have the equipment. After shooting your video, you can put it on your computer, add graphics if you want, edit it where needed. Even novice filmakers trying to get ahead are now using digital cameras to shoot movies...and the digital video is much better quality...the only problem...PRICE. As with all the other digital advances we've talked about, price is a MAJOR issue.

The Sony DCR-TRV720 Digital Camcorder, is one of the cheapest digital cameras that I've found on the net. (879.00) One of the great things about digital cameras, is that you can record your videos...in 16:9 widescreen ratio (See HDTV). So you can actually make a movie...that looks like a movie. All data is stored in what's called a memory stick. This memory stick holds about twice to three times as much as a regular video cassette with better quality.
